MWFF may just be out of luck this time around, unfortunately. I agree with Fred
that more cons need to get cool art from their souvenir books up on line to be
seen. But I think it also behooves the artists themselves to point out that
they have pieces published in such places, if for no other reason so that
awards like us (and other fantasy artwork awards) can be aware of them and
point people at them.

I just got a copy of the Midwest FurFest 2014 from William Haskell. Thanks,
Bill.
What I really want to talk about is the conbook's wraparound cover by
Sabretoothed Ermine. It's really great. I would've Recommended it if I had
seen it before the 2014 Recommended List closed. It's still eligible for the
2014 Ursa Major Award for Best Published Illustration, but frankly it's not
liable to get many votes if it's not online to be seen. (If it is, nobody has
called attention to it.)
This is a reminder that furry con committees -- chairs or whoever -- ought to
make sure that their conbook covers are scanned and posted online, and that
someone sends a recommendation for that year's recommended list if it's good
enough to be worth recommending. Conbook covers often are, but usually nobody
bothers to recommend them. That's too bad.
