I've only just noticed this, but has anyone already commented on the fact
that the ALAA's Choice award for 2011 was given to a book that actually was
released in 2012? I know the story was serialized online over part of 2011,
but it's not made clear whether the award is for the online postings or the
print version, and most people will naturally assume the latter. In fact, I
believe that volume 1's online postings also ended in 2012, which according
to the UMA rules means that's when it should've been eligible.
Red Lantern could have been nominated for Best Graphic Story this year, in
fact, but wasn't, so maybe it was prescient on the part of the ALAA...

Red Lantern was awarded the Award in the best Graphic Story category which does
not have to be complete. In fact most of those in that category are continuous
. Red Lantern pages 13 to 65 qualified for 2011. The image for Book 1 was
used for the website simply due to it being an excellent illustration for the
story.
