Dear Everyone;
I have just started reading FURRY FANTASTIC, edited by Jean Rabe & Brian M.
Thomsen (DAW Books), which I do NOT think is worth recommending, but I still
hope that some of the individual stories in it will be worthwhile. The fantasy
cat & dog stories are too cute to stand ("our dear furry pets"), but the
stories about fantasy meerkats and gerbils may be better. Has anyone else
read this anthology? What about DRAGON AVENGER by E. E. Knight (Roc), which
was just published this week and which I probably will not be able to read
before the end of this year? I understand that the December issue of F&SF has
an anthropomorphic story by Scott Bradfield, bur I have not been able to see
it; has anyone else?
Furrily;

One notable omission I see scanning the list is the cover painting for
"Pendant of Fortune," by Sara Palmer. I'll work with her and Sofawolf to get
it online somewhere so we can link to it.

Greeting purrs!
As 2006 comes to a close, the late rush of movie and book releases is
happening. Time to make your final nominations for the Recommended List:
https://ursamajorawards.org/ReadList.htm
What movie, book, comic strip, picture, or any other relevant
anthropomorphic item that has not yet been mentioned on the Recommended
List, deserves to be promoted therein? Remember, this isn't for an Award,
just something that you may feel others would like to see also.
Speaking of Awards though, we are due to open the nomination process for
them in mid January. More details forthcoming in the next few weeks.
Tail high!
