From 2011, in addition to the regular Awards, the Anthropomorphic Literature and Arts Association will be exercising the option to present an Award for an anthroporphic work that has been judged to be outstanding for the year, but has not been selected by the community during the popular voting process. The ALAA’s Choice Award, unlike the Ursa Major Awards, is selected by a vote among the members of the A.L.A.A.

The ALAA’s Choice Award for 2011 was presented to the graphic story:

The ALAA’s Choice Award for 2013 was presented to the animated video:
Children of the Night, by Richard Sirois (Lionheart) and Jordana Gonzalez (Spirit), sung by Kate Covington (Erutan).
